The League of PISSED OFF Voters is doing national voter-organizing out of New York City. Our mission is to engage pissed off 17-35 year olds in the democratic process to build a progressive governing majority in our lifetime.  How to Get Stupid White Men Out of Office: the anti-politics, un-boring guide to power.

Twenty true stories from young people across the country who have swung an election or issue campaign, largely in the last 2-3 years. The book, co-edited by William Upski Wimsatt and Adrienne Maree Brown with 10 co-authors, will be promoted in an unprecedented 80-city swing state tour accompanied by workshops and voter organizing events. Contact booktour@indyvoter.org to get more information or check out  www.indyvoter.org.

A groundbreaking online progressive network where the average non-voter can click on a map and start checking out and planning hot events, meeting dope people, organizing voter blocs, creating voter guides, exchanging resources and self-educating on issues and the electoral process to endorse progressive candidates. Indyvoter.org will empower individuals to take action in a variety of ways – meeting people at any level of political engagement  Progressive Voter Guides.

Inspired by the San Francisco Bay Guardian’s Progressive Voter Guide, the Indyvoter.Org Voter Guide Tool is designed to allow young people across the country to research, design and produce a local voter guide to educate their peers on why they should vote, identify the key issues and the best strategic vote for their communities.  From Brunches to Voter Blocs: the 7 month Field Campaign.

From brunches and book clubs in your living room to coalition-building across communities, the League is building a long term progressive power base, by engaging the resources and social networks of young people, and providing them with the training they need to become effective voter organizers. With a commitment to open dialogue, diversity, and cross pollination, our local organizers are forming voter blocs in key swing districts, endorsing candidates on a progressive slate, and building political power that could swing many close elections.
